FretsOnFire Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Has anyone taken this course and if so how was it? I'll be honest that my theory etc with regards to our beloved instrument isn't great and starts and ends at knowing the notes all over the fretboard. The rest is knowing cover songs so I've been looking at taking an online course aswell as jamming to songs daily and the one that keeps coming up is the bassbuzz course. The one thing that gets me is it seems very expensive for what it is but if it works and improves my knowledge then I'll pay it Does anyone here have any experience good or bad with this course? Joe Nation Posted September 22 Posted September 22 I have watched a bunch of his youtube vids, but I decided to put my money on the TalkingBass course instead (just felt a bit more polished and complete to me). I think Josh gets a lot of good press around here, so certainly not a bad choice. My tip would be this (which ever course you go for): set aside a dedicated timeslot in your diary to work on the course - I'm a terrible planner so haven't done a lesson in a couple of weeks now and I feel like I'm forgetting it all already. 1 1 Quote

In this exact same position, feeling like do I pull the trigger on one of the online courses to get me going. Bassbuzz or SBL were my main ones but il check out that talking bass as mentioned above Quote

FretsOnFire Posted 27 minutes ago Author Posted 27 minutes ago Just wanted to update here I purchased the bassbuzz course and surprised myself with just how much I knew somewhere in the old grey matter that I cancelled my subscription after the first month and haven't looked for another course since then. I don't regret buying a month of the course as it have me confidence in my playing ability Quote
