waynepunkdude Posted June 14, 2009 Share Posted June 14, 2009 I'm very close to trading in my B2R for an SVT 5 Pro but before I do I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing. I'm happy with my B2R but ave always wanted an SVT, I've played through an SVT 2 and loved it, how close to that will I get with the 5? Also how hard to come by are the footswitches? peted Posted June 16, 2009 Share Posted June 16, 2009 I believe the SVT2 and SVT5 have the same pre-amp, but the 2 is valve power stage and 5 is solid state. If you weren't pushing the SVT2 to high volumes then you'll probably get a similar sound out of the SVT5.
