Stand for Lap Steel

Yes, I know they're called "LAP" steel guitars, but I have a few that I would like to use in more like a pedal steel position

Is anyone using anything currently available in the UK ?

You might try homebrewing something from a plank, a lighting pole and a speaker top hat.

I was sure I'd seen something along the lines of a lightweight carbon fibre type stand somewhere.

'twas probably 'murkan, and no doubt would cost a pile to ship and import.

 

This will do meantime.

It's a pity it won't make my playing any better though
