After picking up the excellent MB102Energy cab from a fellow basschatter my LM4 arrived from Thomann ( considerably lower in price to U.K. stores )

Sat it on top of cab and played my PBass through it

1: Wow this is a loud amp considering I’m going into a single 8ohm cab

2: Quiet ( I’ve read noisy fan complaints but this 2025 model is very quiet.
3: EQ is excellent and the 4 band works very well.

4: Mute Function

5: Selector for flat or scooped EQ works well, footswitchable too

6: Old School control rolls off the top end and makes it sound more like an old Ashdown amp warm and slightly woolly !

7: Light ( preferred the LM4 as it’s a metal case, 58R is plastic )

8: Sound is very good, clear punchy and makes a good match with a PBass

Very pleased with this rig and not out of place at home or jam sessions, rehearsals and gigs

I used a rubber mat under the amp ( light heads I normally do ) and stops feet indentation marks in the fur covering !

I have the very same head and I'm a big fan of it. I keep toying with the idea of moving it on but every time I gig with it, I'm super happy. Its punchy and the tone shaping is versatile but even running it flat sounds great. I've also tried the MarkBass Little Mark Tube 800 and that sounded really nice as well.
