Anyone tried these for UB? very little info out there except loud fan noise and noisey switching. Looks too good to be true except the price tag!

I did, really good sounding, easy to dial in a pleasant sound quite quickly.

 

The fan noise can be very easily almost cancelled by adding a second fan as the card (inside the amp) allows it and manages it, so both of them will turn at very low speed.

 

I always use Noctua fans that are incredibly silent.

 

For the switching noises, I never noticed anything bothering, maybe some people had an earlier version of the combo.

 

But it's ultra powerful when you turn the gain to the right level, which is quite high as the headroom is huge.

 

It's also an excellent electric bass or EUB combo and so light.

 

Pricey for sure, especially the full carbon version, but worth it.
