90's MIJ jazz bass pickups - slight drop £50 posted £60 Morecambe

Original pickups from an MIJ Fender 75RI jazz, 1995 and NOS bass, imported from japan by the previous owner.

Some of these basses had pickups from the USA, as the bass was made strictly for Japanese market, i think these are MIJ.

 

 

They have a large bar magnet on the bottom, So i think these may be ceramic units.

 

I briefly fitted them to my 82 JV jazz, and they have a very clear/modern HIFI tone, with a lot of highs, and tight in the bottom, they are fairly even in the mids and maybe voiced to bring out the ASH/Maple combo. 

 

I could be daft selling these, but i wont use them, and they'll really enliven a dull sounding jazz, maybe spruce up a squire, so hopefully theyll pimp someones baby 😊

They're In great, and id say fairly unused condition. 

Ill take £50 posted to UK for these.

Id say yes maybe you're right. Ive been looking up MIJ pickups from that time, and some had a ceramic bar magnet. It would explain the tone, which is quite bright with a strong output.
