Love it but don't think I could afford the shipping VAT and customs to bring it to UK.

Where's the sweet spot when a flight/railway/bus is cheaper than VAT + taxes? 

(A used bass is most likely easier to take along and through customs while returning... not me, just asking for a friend!)
