This has 8 fantastic sounding pre-amps. I've not had a need to use it for a while, so did a quick test with my AKG  c214 condenser mic to ensure all channels were fully working, clear and with working phantom power. All channel sounded lovely (audio available on request, but it's just me say "testing channel 5" etc.)

 

There are 2 red knob caps missing (channel 7 and 8) as per the photos, but other than that it's a good as new.

 

Each channel gain has the feel of quality for something made in Japan 20 years ago. A fantastic piece of kit which will keep working for another 20+ years easily.

Comes with 'unscrew-able' feet which can be removed if you have a tight rack unit, but very useful for desktop use.
