Feeler: Custom 4x12" Celestion loaded bass cab

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

Up for sale is my old bass cab, this has been in storage for a while, and is costing money, so I decided to see if I can sell it.

It’s rated at 400W @ 8 Ohms , It is the same size as the Marshall VBC412 cab.

The cab is solid and perfect for gigging-made well with good internal bracing. It has scratching on the top and a few dings, but is generally good condition.

I guess the cab is reasonably old and bombproof, It's heavy- hence the castors.

It sounds great, a good comprimise between 10" and 15" drivers.

I've used it with an old Sound City 120W valve head and an Ashdown Evo II 300W amp, both of which I sold so the cab hasn't been used much.

The speakers are barely worn in, still have the receipt. I had a custom made grill to finish, It was only used for a few months for practice and a few gigs.

The cab was previously painted, so I repainted with exterior black gloss.

Specification:-

*Solid and braced Flight case style enclosure all aluminum sides and proper corner protectors.

* 75(H) x 75 (W) x 36b (D)

* X4, 12" 100W Celestion BL12-100, I bought these new from Appian Acoustics for £130 -still have the receipt

* Powder coated steel grill (custom made) solid and seriously kick proof.

*Parallel ¼” jack outputs (8 Ohms)

* X2 rear 4” diameter (5” long) ports

* Heavy duty side handles

*Castors

The cab is in Bristol, so I guess local pickup only, I’m generally open to offers but would like to achieve something close to the cost of the speakers??

Any queries/questions please PM me.

Cheers
Neil
