kingforaday Posted March 22 Posted March 22 (edited) I’m pretty pleased with these 4 songs I’ve just recorded. I played bass, drums, guitars, keyboards and did all vocals… which I’ve done before… but for the first time I also recorded it all. Normally I’d use a local studio but I don’t have time these days, so I have to do little bits here and there. here’s a few places you can listen and download if you like Youtube Bandcamp Soundcloud Edited March 22 by kingforaday 1 Quote
kingforaday Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 Snakeoil Salesmen - Flogging a Dead Horse I made a little music video for this short song I wrote about starting to write a song, realising it’s rubbish and giving up on it Quote

dustandbarley Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Thanks for sharing your work - it’ really is great to hear! And lovely bass tone in Flogging a Dead Horse. That woody punchy tone is luscious. Flats with a pick? Quote

It’s weird, I’m used to going for a very aggressive roundwound trebly punk kind of tone, but on this particular ongoing project, I always feel like the bass sits better in the mix when it’s the hofner with flats. I bought that bass on a whim years ago and have actually used it for loads of recordings! There’s also something about it that just makes it so much fun to play these types of bass lines thanks for taking the time to listen! 1 Quote
