Hi all,
I've just picked up a Dynacord CLS222 and have been experimenting with it as a bass effect. I understand its original design intent was as a keyboard players Leslie rotary speaker cabinet simulator as much used with Hammond organs. Anyway I can report that when rigged up on the fx send and returns on my SWR amp it delivers some very sweet and usable results. I'm still at the experimenting stage with it at the moment but I do like it especially when only a small amount of signal is dialed into the mix. When its full on obviously its er "a bit overpowering" ! it's also very quiet electrically ie no unwanted background noise . . . anyone else out there ever used one in their bass rig ? :)

Some Googling turned up this article:

http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/1997_artic...rotosphere.html

Given that it includes the scary comment that "the Dynacord CLS222 reached the rather alarming price of £760 in the final days of its existence", I suspect that NO ONE has previously tried using this unit as part of their bass rig. :)

Wow . . I knew they were expensive . . but not that expensive !
I got my example from an eBay auction on eBay.de so it came from Germany.
It says 220v on the back rather than 230v but it seems to work fine - so I dont think that is a problem ?
It cost me 200 Euros plus postage.
Great sounds to be had.
Cheers :)
