WishICouldWalk Posted June 29, 2023 Share Posted June 29, 2023 (edited) The parts are as follows: Mexican P neck (Player series I think). Squier body with a bit of perhaps not strictly honest wear. Vintage style bridge. Stew Mac own brand pickups. Stew Mac control package (I think they're CTS pots). Fender stamped neck plate. Generic pickguard. The neck is basically unplayed. Frets have zero wear and truss rod is perfect. Strung with Pyramid flats. The neck had 70s style tuners on it and whoever fitted them must have been a bit ham fisted as they snapped a couple of screws in the holes. I was going to rout them out and plug the holes but decided to fit lighter weight tuners instead and the bass balances much better on the strap so I've just left things as they are. The weight is just under 8lb 12oz and balances well for a bass this light. The pickups are embarrassingly nice - the bass sounds as good if not better than my late 70s P. They have a bit more warmth to them. Price includes UK delivery or you can come to Brighton.
