FS/FT: Lakland Skyline 44-64 custom PJ, Brand new!

 

This just arrived this Tuesday from Bass Buddha in Denmark and it is everything you could expect from a Lakland.

 

Great fretwork, PLEK'd at the Lakland custom shop in Chicago.

Solid Lakland bridge, Hipshot Ultralite Tuners, and Lakland USA pickups.

Ash body, with maple neck and Indian Rosewood fretboard with block inlays. This bass just exudes quality in all areas and you can feel that when you play it.

 

The factory set-up is unrivaled on basses in this price range,

the bass is set up with a super low action and plays super smooth with no fret buzz.

Without a doubt a top instrument that will also appeal to fans of more expensive boutique basses!

 

Why do you already offer them for exchange / purchase, I hear you think?

Well, it's a tough choice to be honest as this bass has just about everything I would expect from such an instrument, but the neck profile of this P/J is somewhere between that of a Jazz Bass and that of a Precision bass in (the nut of this hybrid neck - as Lakland calls it - has the width of a Jazz bass neck, but is a bit deeper than a Jazz neck, making it closer to a Pbass in terms of depth) and unfortunately that's not really my thing and I'm having a really hard time getting used to it after playing wider/flatter neck profiles for over a decade..

 

 

Looking for trades with 4 or 5 string fretted, 32-34" scale

and a wide, flat neck profile.

 

Also interested in analog(!) effect-pedals.

The RRP for this bass is around 1649 Euros and it is less than a week old (original packaging, tools and cable are still available), so please bear that in mind when making an offer or trade.

 

In case of sale I would like to get 1100 GBP/ 1250 Euro for it,

but an exchange (with or without cash adjustment either way) is preferred.

 

The bass can be extensively tested and picked up in Ghent, Ledeberg or can be shipped in the original packaging.
