Craig Robinson Posted December 17, 2022 Share Posted December 17, 2022 Hi all I have just installed two soapbar emgs into a bass with all the solderless wiring. It is a vol tone for each pickup but when I turn the volume down it doesn't make it silent? I have used factory basses with emgs and no problem but this is first time just upgrading the pups. hubrad Posted December 18, 2022 Share Posted December 18, 2022 (edited) I'm assuming you have the EMG pots among the kit? Quite different values at 25 or 50k as opposed to 250/500. I've used loads of EMG over the years, and done alot with wiring, and not had this problem with them.
