nemesis Posted October 4, 2022 Share Posted October 4, 2022 (edited) I own the BOSS wl-20l as it was appropriate for the active bass I had, I now have a passive bass, should I change the type of Boss?. Some suggestions that my new tone will be brighter, just wondering ( as I haven't tried it in anger yet) if it's TOO bright. Lozz196 Posted October 5, 2022 Share Posted October 5, 2022 Well the 20 replicates the sound of a cable in the chain so if anything I’d expect that the 20L would be the clearer/brighter sounding one. Given you’re now on a passive bass, which are usually not as bright as active ones I don’t think swapping to the 20 from the 20L would be the best move.
