TC Electronics BQ500 Fault

Hi,

I brought a TC Electronics BQ500 on this forum a couple of years ago. It has been absolutely great until last week when it decided to malfunction.

Even when I don't plug in any input or speaker, the system seems to go into heat protection mode, and there is no output, while the fan goes on high and the peak signal light turns red. It takes about a.minite to get to that point, and works normally for about a minute with output etc.

I've opened it up to take a look but would love any advice if anyone has seen this before. I can't see any obvious signs of damage or blown circuitry. I'm assuming it's a faulty thermostat or something based on the symptoms.
