Rare JV, from the Contemporary series from Squier. Great built like always with the JV era ! Great bass, with low action, punchy and warm sound. Frets are in good condition, neck is straight. PB pickup have been upgraded with a Fender Pure Vintage'63 (same pickup on the American Original 63 PB) which gives better medium range. Strings are brand new.
It's a neck, tuning machines and string tree from a 2020 Squier Classic Vibe 70s Precision Bass. Which I reckon is about 50% of the bass itself. (I have the pickups, bridge, neckplate and pots somewhere if anyone's interested, for a few dollars more).
It's a maple neck in vintage tint with maple board and black blocks/binding. Includes the original tuners and string tree. All 100% stock. The only mark on it is where some of the varnish on the truss-hole chipped when the rod was turned. See here:
The whole thing is finished in the spirit of the poo-brown flare-clad Capri-driving 1970s. It has been barely used and frets are all in perfect nick.Truss turns and works properly.
It's a slim, shallow neck for a P-bass, and fitted the body it arrived with perfectly snugly. C profile, 'crafted' by a CNC operator in Indonesia.
Collection from Hove, or UK postage at cost (choose your preferred courier).
1983 Squire JV Precision bass, candy apple red, rosewood board. All original domestic JV, alder body, relatively light – 3,9kg. As one can expect the bass has been played a lot and shows some dings and dongs here and there, patina on the hardware, etc., but is all original and in more than perfect functional condition: neck is straight as an arrow with minimal truss rod tension (it has a loooot more room to go), also the neck is extremely comfortable at 42mm at the nut and the playability is to die for – out of 12 precisions that I possess incl. very nice vintage fenders, this is the most comfortable to play: super nice neck profile (flat, but not too much) and extremely low action. This is also the last JV I have and the best compared to all the others I had over the years (around 10 if I remember correctly). With flats it does the Motown job, with rounds it sounds deep but aggressive.

Why am I selling it if its such a great bass – I am letting go a part of my collection and keeping only the more vintage precisions. I am aware the asking price is not among the cheapest – I have sold JVs here for 500 pounds some years ago, but am also not quite sure I want to let this one go, so if it doesn’t sell for this, I’ll be happy to keep it. Plus - try to find a CAR with rosewood board - it took me close to a decade. Also, if you purchase it and do not find yourself to like it – I can take it back as long as you cover the shipping and payment fees.
Any questions – please, feel free to ask. Price includes shipping to most parts of EU.

I have decided to part with my 2019 Squier Bronco 30" short scale which was modified by the previous owner. He purchased it new in 2019, made the mods and then sold it on.
The upgrades are as follows: New Alnico 5 '51 precision style pickup (brand unknown), full size alpha pots, N.O.S dime capacitor, Switchcraft USA jack socket
Headstock refinished with a 70's decal applied, then lacquered with clear nitro-cellulose
New 4 ply pickguard, new tug bar, Fender neck plate, new precision bridge
Sett up is great, it has seen very limited home use, condition very good, slight marks below the bridge from a string change I presume.
Happy to meet at the front gate under current circumstances or post using UPS or Parcelforce for £25 in the UK
***NOW SOLD*** Fantastic unique Squier VM fretless jazz with upgrades. Refinished in Graffiti Yellow, fitted with replica tort plate and genuine Fender bridge and pickup covers. Body in mint condition apart from a few minor surafce marks to bottom and side edges and one small ding on the rear top contour as shown, otherwise like new. Replaced stock neck with Mexican Fender pau ferro, mint condition and lemon oiled for a lovely finish. Previously fitted with an active preamp and still has side mounted jack if wanted to upgrade. Strung with Picato flats, nice and worn in.
Prefer local collection (somehow) as out of boxes to send (at buyer's cost). Cheers!
