I went to see Joss Stone in Leeds on Wednesday night. She's got a great voice (and looks good too!) and she had a brilliant band with her. Don't know who the bass player was but he did a great job, nothing flash but everything right on the nail. What a fab job to have!

It was a little intimate gig in a little ex-liberal club in Woodhouse! Amazingly there were only about 350 people there I'd say and nowhere near full.

I went to see her on Monday night in Birmingham at the Rainbow... capacity 200. The bass player is the musical director to and is no other than Peter Iannacone... and he is a groove monster. Seriously underaterd and seriously cool what with his cap... Nice guy to boot. I caught up with the band afterwards and was pleased to see how down to earth they were... oh, and the sax player... he's the star of the band what with his porn start moustache, his sunglasses and his serious talent!

PS - hands off - that's my bass gig! Ha ha.

LOL- Well as I was saying to Joss on Wednesday 'I'm a lover not a fighter!' but when it comes to her bass playing job I think (Harry Hill style!) there's only one way to find out - FIGHT!

I love those little intimate , and unexpected, gigs too. I only heard about the gig on Wednesday morning and couldn't believe there were tickets left!

Thanks for that. ;) :P[/quote]

No problem.

The gigs still mine though...

Talking to Pete though, I don't think he is going anywhere fast... (can't blame him, what a view...)
