Kay K1-B Bass £190 Newbury

This is a Japanese made K-1B short scale bass. Most others seem to be made in Taiwan and I am told that the Japan made basses are made to a better standard. It would therefore date from the early 1970’s. This plays fine and has been recently set up with a new set of strings. Volume and Tone pots are working and it has a classic 70’s sound. It is missing the bridge plate, it has had a washer added to the pick up, I haven’t attempted to change this as it is all working. It is missing the original end pin and has a more modern one fitted.
