bassatnight Posted January 30, 2009 Share Posted January 30, 2009 Hi, My 1980 Aria SB1000 has developed a problem, literally overnight the sound has gone from bright and punchy (classic SB1000 tone) to a flat almost dull sound. I have changed the batteries cleaned everything up but to no avail. I treat these babies as if they were gold and I know that no damage has been accidently done to it (it's more than her life's worth! ;-) The amps are fine and my other babies still sound fine through them, so I know its the bass itself. Bearing in mind that this instrument is nearly 30 years old could the electronics be on their way out? Can anyone offer any advice or reccomend a suitable doctor to give her the once over?
