Hi all. I need a Stingray for a new tribute band I've joined and as much as I can't believe I'd ever let go of this bass, it's not getting played. It's in great condition and sounds thunderous and plays amazingly. Aside from a few surface scratches and a couple of dings, she's in really great shape for her age. The bass still has the 'Made in Japan' sticker on the back of the headstock (see pics).

This is the same model that Cliff Burton used to record and tour the Master of Puppets album. It is very similar to the now discontinied Cliff Burton Signature bass that retailed at £3999 recently (see bottom pic). It took me ages to find one. They are very rare! Some people have paid upwards of a thousand pound for one to be imported from Japan, where these models are still rare.

I'm ideally looking to trade for a Sunburst or similar Stingray with maple neck, but will consider any other similar ones.

I really won't mind not letting her go so am quite specific in what I'm looking to trade for.

I'm based in South Wales.
