**Price Drop to £650** Hungarian 3/4 Double Bass (Szegedi) - Carved Top

Recommended Posts

Price dropped to £650.00, trades or best offer.

Hungarian 3/4 Carved Top Double Bass made by Szegedi Hangszergyarto
Reasonable offers considered.

Strongly prefer collection from Newport, South Wales.

This is a good sounding bass and is in overall good condition. It has a carved top with back and sides laminate with a hardwood fingerboard. I have had a few upgrades made to the instrument by Martins of Banbury. These include fitting adjustable bridge, new flexible cable tail gut and new heavy duty endpin. The bass sounds best with steel flatwound strings for a more modern sound with a good bloom that is highly suitable for jazz pizz. It currently has low tension orchestral strings fitted. A vinyl cover is also included.
