Up for sale is my Squier JV Precision, which dates from August 1982 - which I believe was the first month they were sold with the 'Squier' logo replacing the 'Fender' (Squier Series) logo.

Neck date is 8-21-82 (21st Aug 1982) and the neck pocket date is 82.8. Serial no is JV12604.

As far as I can tell it is all original; cloth covered wiring, reverse tuners etc.

Very striking Sen 'Ash' body (appears to be 2-piece) which really shows off the grain nicely.

These are really great basses, as I'm sure everyone is aware - built as exact replicas of the classic 1962 Precision. So basically a pre-CBS spec Precision, with 35 years authentic ageing, at a fraction of the cost of an actual '62 bass! Condition is excellent, with only a few very minor dings and marks in keeping with its age. The worst is probably a slight dent on the back of the neck (see photo) which I never actually notice while playing.

I've had this bass for about 18 months and the only reason for selling is that I have now acquired a slightly older, July '82 'Fender' logo model, which is otherwise identical! I've thought about keeping them both, but I don't really believe in owning an instrument that never gets played, so here it is.

Any questions please ask.

Comes with generic Stagg bass case (in v good condition): https://www.staggmus...cts/view/ABSRB2
