attackbass Posted January 22, 2016 Share Posted January 22, 2016 Selling my Peavey 6505 with Mercury Magnetics upgraded power Transformer and Choke. Amp in good condition and working order. The grill on the top of the amp has cracked a bit around some of the screws - I think this is quite a common problem with the amp. This amp is extremely heavy in tone and very tight. Does that metal/hard rock sound - sounds even better with a tube screamer in front of it. Can get some decent marshall-esque crunch tone from it too. Reason for sale is that I have just borrowed my brother in laws JCM 800 2203 and now I need one!! The amp is in Cardiff and can be tried out.
