garry warrington Posted December 31, 2015 Share Posted December 31, 2015 Recently purchased a Joodee (Japan) performer p bass, it was in a mess , so i tried a few upgrades, It does say for professional use on the headstock, but it seems average, i was hoping for more. It had a Tonerider pickup installed( i still have the old pickup, the seller said this had more punch) not sure if i should put the old one back on?. Installed CTS 250k pots with a orange drop Cleaned and conditioned the fretboard new nickel strings The trouble is the bass just isnt performing it still feels light and a budget feeling to the tone.
