TGEvans Posted September 7, 2008 Share Posted September 7, 2008 Right, after about 10 years I think I have just about worked out what I do and dont like about amps. After having had everything from 1x15 and 1x18 rigs to 8x10 and 4x12's, valve, solid state and hybrid, I think I prefer really nice combo's to monster rigs! Has anyone else found this? But now I am faced with the dilemma of which exact combo. Its either between an Aguilar GS500 2x12 or an SWR Black Beauty! So, any feedback would be much appreciated.Also, when playing big venues through a combo, I have found as long as there is a fairly decent monitor system and good sound chap things go quite well.
