Beautiful Fender Steve Bailey 6 string Jazz Bass in mint condition, born in 2009

Price: £ 1450 ( € 1800 ) + shipping

I bought the bass brand new so I am the first owner. Usually have played her at home and gigged her only 10 times or so. The bass attracts attention wherever I play her. She is very precisely built, with a gorgeous flamed maple neck, straight neck, low action, killer sound and very long sustain. The neck is very comfortable so it is really easy to get used to play it.

The condition is excellent. The neck is in totally immaculate condition. Only on the body you will find some common tiny scratches in the lacquer which are really very fine. There is only one dent near the upper horn button. However, it is invisible as the lacquer is undamaged. Everything works as it should. Also the original hard case is like new, literally intact.

Within a week I will add a link to more photos and later I will post a link to a video. Nevertheless, here are 4 photos I took when new:

Fender started the production in 2009 and built not many of them as they discontinued the production in 2011. Here is a video of introduction the bass at NAMM 2009: https://www.youtube....h?v=ABhkg3rlAuQ

String spacing at the bridge is 18.8mm
The weight is 4.75 kg (10.5 lb)

Modifications:
1) Copper shielding tape installed in the control cavity and round the pickups. It was made carefully by a professional luthier and can be taken away very easily and restored to its original state without any sign of touch. Still, the single pickups are very powerful so there is the common single hum after you turn the balance pot towards one of the pickups. Otherwise there is no hum or rustle.
2) Fingerboard marker stickers added. The markers look great and nobody recognizes they are stickers. They can be removed without any adhesive left behind. http://www.inlaystic...es/how-to-apply

Not happy but I have to reduce my collection. As I usually play my four-string basses in my current bands, I have decided so. She deserves to be played more. The sells have been slow lately so I expect it can take some time I sell her. However, remember it is an extraordinary Fender bass and not many of them were produced. So, here is your chance. Also it may happen that the price will go up in the future as it is the first 6-string bass Fender ever made.

I will answer all your questions and give you any info you will want. We can talk on the phone, we can have a video chat on Skype, we can contact each other on Facebook, etc. If you are really interested, do not hesitate to freely ask for anything.

Thanks for looking
Vilem
