ML94
Hi guys, I'm definatley putting this up for sale now as I have something that I really want! I am the second owner of this bass, first being Giblett123 who got this built. It is in immaculate condition, no nicks or dents anywhere. It is pretty light for a 5 string. It has a beefy P pickup and punchy J pickup. That's what you get with these Nordys and the preamp lets you dial in anything you want, literally. Setup with low action and strung with med light D'Addarios. The specs - 34" scale bolt on with 19mm string spacing at the bridge. Body: Ash with Myrtle wood top and no pickgurard (see the pics of the wood and template shape below) with gloss finish Neck: Maple 3 piece flame/rock/flame. Board: Bird eye maple with 12" radius and rolled edges, 24 frets Side dots: blue luminlay. RIM Jazz headstock with myrtle facing, Hipshop ultralite tuners in black Hipshot type A bridge in black Nordstrand PJ5 pickups in a 70's jazz position East U-retro deluxe preamp Weight: 9.8lbs (weighed on a normal scale and flat surface) Original build thread - http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2385514 If there are any other questions just stick them on here or PM me. (Also comes with a hard case) Sound Samples - https://soundcloud.c...j-sound-samples I've done these quick samples again as some people have been in touch and said that they'd prefer single takes with different pickup configuration and EQ Settings. So, I've done exactly that. Again, these were quick takes ! You are all welcome to try the bass if you wish just PM me when you'd like to arrange a time/date. Delivery estimate (insured) comes to approximately £35. If anyone is wondering postage fees. Trades - Fender Jazz preferably 3TS, maple neck (4 or 5). Or anything else really. (Must be a jazz) Edited August 2, 2014 by ML94
giblett123
Its a stunning bass, if I hadn't had to bail my daughter (at uni) out of the financial mire I'd still have it, it looks sounds and feels amazing and at this price is a snip.

ML94
Guys I've added another set of sound samples of the bass due to people wanting single takes of different settings and EQ. So, I've done exactly that ! https://soundcloud.com/ml94/sets/rim-5-string-pj-sound-samples

david1711
Sigh. I am in Herts. Probably not a good idea to fork out this sort of cash on a relatively unknown custom instrument without trying it first. That said it looks and sounds amazing. david1711
Let me think about it. In the meantime I am going to offer my status s2 classic 4 string for sale. That way my wife won't complain about yet another bass acquisition if it's still available and I go for it. Cheers.
