BFM Tuba 24 cab (£75)and empty DR 250 cab (£30)

Recommended Posts

DIY Bill Fitzmaurice Tuba 24 bass cab for sale fitted with a new Eminence Beta 10" speaker 250watts at 8ohn. Its made from a mixture of mdf and ply and is finished in matt black paint, ungigged but dusty, it has clamp speaker terminals but could be changed easily no speaker corners fitted yet. size 24" square 45ibs weight. £75. The photo on the left is the internals of this cab minus speaker.

ALSO , empty Bill Fitzmaurice DR 250 bass cab £30 which needs a lot of filling and painting but worked well when I tested the abouve Beta 10 in it. It is voiced for bass guitar only with no tweeters fitted . Size 20" x 22" weight -- a lot.
This is made from a variety of wood/scrap wood and I built this in the easter holidays to pass the time/keep hands busy when my teenagers were out, I never thought I would build it all but I did. If you put a beta 10 in it (£40) and finished the outside with filler/paint and fitted speaker terminals you would have a great set up as the two would compliment each other.

I am selling because I am switching to the smaller Omni 10.5 because my back goes even when I put the milk back in the fridge.

Some people say you cannot build decent bass cabs but this is rubbish spread by makers of expensive MDF/ply boxes with cheap 15" speakers in them.
