Just reading up on the various versions of this pedal over at ilovefuzz, looks like this version has a switchable buffer, which when engaged makes the fuzz a bit brighter and harsher. I have an older version without the buffer, and think it sounds best with a passive bass plugged in, so make sure you open it up and play with the dip switch to see where it sounds best!
