yorks5stringer Posted December 23, 2013 Share Posted December 23, 2013 Not a name I have heard of, but was taken to see Acoustic Alchemy at the PIzza Express Jazz Club on Friday night as my Xmas treat from daughter 2 and him and his brother on drums were in the band. Lots of really nice technique: thumbing like Jamerson, finger style and slap then a tricky scat section al a George Benson, just him singing and playing the Bass in unison. He's based in the States ( there's a huge list of people he's played with) and comes over every year for these gigs. Had a good chat with him, afterwards, really cool guy. He was playing his PRS GG Bass which he helped design.
