Reluctant sale of my Status S2 Classic, its headed with full graphite through neck. Its in great all round condition and come in its Status/Hiscox hard-case. The body is Walnut. Theres a 'ding' in the lacquer on the rear underside of the body (near the control cavity plate) and a 'scuff' on the headstock that is very minimal i couldn't get it to show on a photo but wanted to list it.

Its been 'on loan' to a close friend who's now bought his own and i feel its time to move it on. Its a really great bass but I just prefer a passive bass so would invite trades for a nice Jazz or Precision....Fender, Shuker, etc or also wouldn't mind a Phil Jones Bass combo

Heres some poor iPhone photos that i keep meaning to replace with better quality ones but to give an idea....

Ive had it on the Statii forum for a bit; http://statii.com/forum/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=5457&pid=50282#post_50282 however not much interest so its here on a lower price. It is currently located in Rotherham, South Yorkshire although I can post it in its hard-case

Hi rob 89

Have you talked to Rob Green of Status
If you like the feel of the bass it isn't too difficult to convert these to passive.
I had to do it to my S1 when the battery box got damaged but I had to have the bass working for a gig.
You lose the active tone controls, but keep volume and pickup blend.
Just a thought

Harry

Hi Harry. To be honest its not something that i had considered, but i think it may detract from what Status basses are all about (i don't mean to sound negative about yours as its all down to a personal opinion) .
Thanks for the post and in theory a good idea but not for me! Cheers
