Flatwound strings and wedgie rubber plectrums

Wedgie rubber picks are great, really comfortable and give a good halfway house tone between fingers and plectrum (more attack than fingers but with a nice round tone).

Unfortunately even in light playing they degrade like anything on roundwounds strings.

Does anyone know if flatwound strings would be kinder these type of plectrums?

Some of the pick wear would be due to horizontal movement rubbing the pick on the ribs of the roundwound string, but I imagine a fair part is due to using a soft object on a (fairly solid) metal object. If I had any rubber picks I would compare and contrast for you, but anyway, that's my 2p...
