It has two small chips, one at the heel and one on the headstock which is reflected in the price. It's otherwise all good and includes the original hard case. It's a gorgeous honeyburst colour. I'm based in Bristol but will consider posting at buyers expense. I'm a long time Stingray player and looking for something to take on tour as I love my Stingray too much to take on tour so looking for a replacement. Cheers! joegarcia Posted November 5, 2013 Author Share Posted November 5, 2013 I'm not 100% sure tbh, I'm pretty sure (please someone correct me here if I'm wrong) that these are the same parts as the Stingray5 but assembled in Indonesia. Mcgiver69 Posted November 5, 2013 Share Posted November 5, 2013 (edited) There are a couple of differences: - The Stingray has a body made of Poplar and the Sterling Ray has Swamp Ash. - The Sterling is made in Indonesia and the other in USA. - I think the Sterling Ray's body is slightly smaller than the Stingray. Not to be confused with the Musicman Sterling, that's a different bass altogether. Sterlings are to MM what MIM is to Fender, put bluntly.
