ML94 Posted October 14, 2013 Share Posted October 14, 2013 Hi I've got some auditions for music college early next year and they have told me that I can use backing tracks as long as the 'bass part' or if you can't help it, the 'solo' section has to be removed so they can clearly hear what YOU are playing. I have one track 'Quite Firm' by Laurence Cottle and wanted to know if there is any software or anything that can do this? Most of the track is fine but I'd like to get rid of the solo part and maybe add in a drum loop that is similar to what is being played. I've tried this and it sounds quite off to me, even after matching tempo's etc etc. Anyone have any advice on this ? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

xilddx Posted November 13, 2013 Share Posted November 13, 2013 There are any amount of ways of creating backing on your own computer. Garageband, Reaper, etc. Get some free loops. You'll need too learn all this technology anyway so don't pay someone to do it for you. Go to the BC recording section for more guidance.
