Michael01474 Posted June 25, 2007 Share Posted June 25, 2007 We were lucky enough a couple of months ago to have our first jam in my office at work. Unfortunately my boss said it could only be a one off so now we're trying to find some practice space to really get into the swing of things. I've got my sister asking round the local halls as she's "active in the community" so doors may be open to her that are not to me. Unfortuantely the drummer has no transport (he lives in maidstone) so moving the kit could be an issue - although I can probably store that at work and pick it up myself when it's needed. lukeward2004 Posted June 25, 2007 Share Posted June 25, 2007 Not sure about your area but we ususally pay £40 for 4 hours, which is basically a soundproofed room with a PA and Mics/monitors provided. We have to bring our own kit, which is better, but there are a few other studios ive used that provide a ful backline for additional hire. lowhand_mike Posted June 25, 2007 Share Posted June 25, 2007 we currently use the hall at the back of a CIU club, it may be worth having a scout around these places as during the week at evening they tend to be fairly quiet and may be useful. ours has a pretty big hall with a stage not all will have that but you may get lucky.
