Jazz bass cavity plugs

Evening all,

I fancy cracking on with another little project. All of it is planned out and decided on. One question though.

I've decided I want a jazz body, with a rear rout (no bell plate). The original plan, was to get a Squier Jazz Deluxe, and then just mod to my hearts content. Although that was the original plan, I'm seeing a few cheap jazz bodies pop up and it got me wondering "how hard can it be to make the required plugs"? then all I'd need to do is rout as necessary afterwards.

So that's the question really, are "plugs" hard to do?

Failing that, suggestions on a dirt cheap jazz with a rear rout.

Ta,

James
