ednaplate Posted June 13, 2008 Share Posted June 13, 2008 Is there an easy way to convert GP files to MP3? Basically what I want to do is play along to drum tracks using a Tascam bass trainer. I tend to play a lot of Rush tracks and there are some excellent drum tracks in GP that somebody has gone to a lot of trouble to create. Am I asking too much??????? Paul Cooke Posted June 13, 2008 Share Posted June 13, 2008 set the volume of the parts you don't want to hear right down before you do the export... that way you can remove the bass, or else leave its volume alone and pan it right over to one side. Save each track individually as a midi file and then import the midi file into Garageband. It's a quite impressive result and makes for some decent homemade backing tracks.
