Truckstop Posted June 27, 2013 Share Posted June 27, 2013 Hello all, Looking for a drummer between 18-35 for a pop/rock covers band based in St. Albans, Herts but gigs up to 50 miles away. Band is a 3-piece with a reggae-ish/rockish approach to songs. Backing box handy but not essential. This is a new band so final set list yet to be compiled and rehearsed, suggestions welcome. We'll be playing music that charted highly, music that is bang up to date as well as some golden classics. PM for a list of music that the guitarist and I have been working on. The end game is functions and weddings. We have contacts in various places and good earning potential can be had. We're looking for a drummer that's influenced by the modern Harvard School of Music style - ultra tight, clean and rhythmic. Tight drum sound also gets points - we don't want giant boomy 24" bass drums and floor toms that you could hide a child in. Small drums, fast hands and clockwork precision! Because we're a 3 piece we want complex beats, loads of frills and loads of showboating. Don't want a plodder, 'less is more' kind of person!
