A great MTD 635 with a rare wood combo. This one has makore/mango body and maple neck with Honduran rosewood board.

Compared to the alder/bloodwood/maple/ebony and the black limba/redwood/maple/ebony, this bass has, of course much more polite and sweet high end. MTDs with ebony boards can need some taming to sit in a mix, this bass worked quite well in a jazz trio. The body of the note has lots of definition and solidity. The low end is well-defined, if not as deep as some other combos might have. (Walnut maybe?)

This is the most flexible of the MTDs I've had, and sits easiest in a traditional mix. The traditional MTD aggrssion is only present if you bump the highs and/or harden your attack, but it IS there when you want it. But, I've got my old 21 fret 635 that I just love to bits - it's raunchy, in your face, just perfect for my very light technique. And, there's the Marilyn that does more subdued and complex tones that I ordered new for me, so it's never going anywhere. This one feels a little superfluous tbh.

Has the MTD World logo, Evo Gold frets, mint condition new style MTD hard case. Sold pending payment seems fair to me based on the mint condition, recent serial number and rare wood combo. Would cost a fair bit to get one new!
