Scratching-like noise when adjusting amp volume

Hey

I own a 30w Warwick Blue Cab combo amp that I picked up second hand. When the bloke sold it to me, he mentioned there was noise emitted when adjusting the volume. It's not a big issue as I only use it as a practice amp in my room, and at any rate it's a fairly economical bit of kit, so I prefer not to throw too much money at it. I was hoping there could be a DIY solution, any ideas?

Cheers

If you're happy opening it up...Small can of contact cleaner spray - Servisol or similar - couple of quid from somewher like Maplins, sprayed into the back of the pot, will probably do the trick. If it's so shot that it needs replacing, it's a quick & easy (ie cheap) fix for a competant amp tech.
