skej21 Posted April 27, 2013 Share Posted April 27, 2013 (edited) Basically, I'm seriously considering this bass but can't seem to find anyone who has one or has played one. I've had my hands on the SR1200 on a number of occasions and I really like it. The nordstrands are awesome and I generally like the aesthetics (although the gold hardware is just on the edge of acceptable for me but could always switch for black so I'm not worried about that). All in all, this looks like the perfect bass to add to my collection as a backup/reading bass. My main concerns are with the problems that might occur with the additional strings. Is the string spacing comfortable? I know it's quite close but is that manageable? Are the pickups as responsive across six strings and particularly the high C? If anyone has one or has played one, opinions would be more than helpful, positive or negative!
