Made in the early 90's in Japan and finished in USA by the Tobias team at Burbank California, before Tobias was sold to Gibson[font=Arial]. Its in good overall condition - usual small dings and buckle rash to the rear - a couple of dings on the side of the neck. Original Bart pups and electronics. Bart TCT 3 band pre (The mid pot is inside the control cavity, this is the way these were produced).

Beautiful through neck construction, an Ash body with a maple core and bubinga stringers, and a rosewood fretboard. The neck is assymetric and very comfortable.

The line up for that time period was this: Standard, Basic, Classic, Signature[/font]

[font=Arial]About 400 Standard 5's were produced..[/font]
