Whats this biamp thingy?

It has two power amps - if you have GK biamp-capable speakers and 4 core cables, then the main power amp drives the bass speaker/s, the other (about 50 Watts) drives the tweeter/s.
You get a control for each on the front panel, and most of the advantages of any active crossover system (like distorted bass drive doesn't translate into harmonics that will hit the tweeters).

GK amps are great. I used to use my 1001 head with GK cabs, and had the 4-way cables. Works great, but I no longer have the cabs, and just use the head with non GK cabs. It just means the 50w amp on the head is redundant. The cabs crossover and tweeter does the work, and unless you plan to distort your bass, there is no difference to the full GK setup.
