As stated, I put these on and took them off in a week time as I needed something different for the gig I was doing. Described as: LA BELLA 7720 CHROME STEEL FLAT WOUND for Double Bass, chrome steel flatwound on a rope core, recommended for classical music these strings have an exceptional bow response, set, medium tension, for 3/4 and 4/4 scale length. G 7721 D 7722 A 7723 E 7724 My opinion: Low tension, nice feel and bright. (would help a dark sounding bass speak better).
