Benplaysbass Posted September 21, 2012 Share Posted September 21, 2012 I have a pretty cheap Hartke VX115 cab that has this horrible sounding tweeter with no way of switching it off. I have read online some people have just cut the wires going to it. This is an option I am thinking about, but does anyone know if I am likely to damage anything by doing so. Thanks. I think the speaker will give as much top end as I shall need. I had also thought about blocking the rear port and putting one in the front. What would be the thoughts on that. Musky Posted September 21, 2012 Share Posted September 21, 2012 The only benefit to moving the port to the front would be if you can't move your cab a few inches from a wall.
