The chaps on the Talkbass forum told me that this would be out of character for Scott at Birdsong, that his computer had been down and to try again. What do you know - he has responded and seems like a really helpful and clued in guy. :-) I now need to decide to continue on my quest for a fretless Ray or go off-piste and try an Embrace.
