As the last post says examiners are happy for you to play one of the pieces from the book. He also said that there is nothing to stop you picking your own but not that easy to find a piece that is the required standard. He said Jaco would be a good choice and to my suprise he also mentioned Mark King, he did however mention a piece by David Sandborn "Run For Cover" which would be a good choice. I have never even heard of the tune so I quickly did a search and found a PDF transcription which I have posted in the Theory and Technique section on here.. I will be interested in playing this as it does look interesting. I hope this was worth the wait and of course I wish you all the best with your Grade 8.
