BassHavoc Posted July 13, 2012 Share Posted July 13, 2012 (edited) Selling on behalf of my brother, a 1990's made Marshall JCM 900 SLX 50w head. 50 watts of pure Marshall power and grunt. This thing is a gain monster, having an extra preamp tube compared to normal 900's. This is a single channel amp with two settings LOUD and LOUDER. The previous owner he loved the amp for classic rock/thrash sounds and my brother loved it for metal/death metal but it's now just taking up space. It could do with a service and possibly tube replacements (maybe only poweramp section) as there is a slight volume dip now and then when playing for extended periods of time. Couple of dings, scratches and tears in the tolex but Marshalls are workhorses and it adds character. 2 of the gold coloured tops of the knobs are lost and currently have the best in paper replacements, replacement parts can easily be found on eBay for a few quid. Selling for £450 ONO, serious offers conisdered but might accept trade+cash of a decent Mahogany guitar.
