thunderider Posted July 10, 2012 Share Posted July 10, 2012 ok as some may know i got a 118 celestion substation,which it turns out to be paralle 4ohm,i always thought it was 8!!...anyway no biggie on my laney...but as the marshall i now have is 8 or 16 ohm,,what i need to know now is.......if its plugged in to direct mono is it going through the cross over or is that direct to speaker? as there are 4 speakon connectors in the back.... also if i were to wire it serial would i just treat it the same as 2 seperate speakers? as my plan was to wire serial,come back to di mono jack,unsolder wires that are on there and bring speaker wires to that,basically bipassing the cross over if thats used....plauseable? ala...16ohms... or the other was to put another speakeron jack in and wire to a single coil....8ohm!
